Our Story
Since 2006, Inventor Doug Hirsh has studied and engineered the delivery of wind energy and felt that improvements over existing horizontal turbine technology were possible. Working with partners in Poland for more than ten years, Doug developed unique patented technology made in the USA that is now being deployed across various regions of the world.
The Prosto group focused on vertical axis technology over conventional horizontal axis technology. The team liked the efficiency offered by vertical-axis wind turbines. Still, it was not satisfied by some of the limitations of existing technology, so they focused on developing a wind turbine technology to address the following concerns:

The result was a patented Prosto vertical axis wind tower, direct-coupled wind turbine technology, which can be easily transported to their intended installation site in modules without special permits. Being directly coupled to the electric generator, the system efficiency exceeds that of the traditional horizontal-style turbines, is very reliable, and will deliver renewable energy over a prolonged life, with superior performance, and greater efficiency.
Designed for simple installation and easy maintenance, Prosto Wind Turbines reduce the costly upkeep associated with traditional horizontal axis wind equipment, and system output can be increased in 11kW increments up to 100 kW per stack, with no generator changeout required. Finally, these new turbines are low noise (less than 6dB over background) and are environmentally friendly to the public & wildlife.
Prosto received its first patents (P.319945 and P.394367) in 2011, and the first turbine, rated at 30 kW, was installed in Gdansk, Poland in 2014. Since then, Prosto Wind Power has installed over 2 MW of power in Poland, with additional projects under development in Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean, and Asia.
Prosto Wind Turbines provides full technical support through all phases of a project, and each system includes a full training package for installers, operators, & maintenance personnel.

For the past 3 decades, Doug has been inventing unique patented renewable technologies for a variety of companies, communities, and government departments around the globe. His passion is to harness energy in the most efficient and unobtrusive way and offer people the ability to choose how to use it. Living in upstate New York, Doug enjoys traveling, meeting and improving the quality of life for people all over the world.
George LePorte
A graduate in business/economics from UCLA, George has spent the past 3 decades as the owner and general manager of ECO Construction, a General Contractor serving Southern California governments, institutions, and companies on multiple construction projects. From his early years, George has always had a passion for green energy and serving local indigenous communities in the most remote places around the world.
Joel Russell
Since the 1990s Joel has helped many startups and Fortune 500s companies in Media, Retail, Manufacturing, and Government grow and expand their online presence using the latest digital technologies. His goal is to help everyone become more green-aware and energy-independent as we face the challenges of a fast-growing data-hungry digital world.
